I'ts kind of a neet idea. The upper reciever has no trigger. Instead, it has just an auto sear and hammer, and starts from an empty chamber. When the lower unit is fired, the gas drives the bolt/carrier through it's normal cycle, firing off the autosear hook only.

Of course a jam in either unit disables them both.

Yeah I figure it'd have to be slower or the same, but double the magazine capacity. It's just silly, but I will want to see a video.

Keep in mind Tony is the ultimate gun nut tinkerer. Never let practicality interfer with his path to the milling machine.

Due to the 86 MG ban, no new MG can be manufactured for the civies. All newly manufactured MG are restricted to LE/Mil only ( or dealers) That's why they always say for LE only....because that's the only market supposedly.

Correct. The law in the US changed on May 19, 1986, so you will see ads that say "pre-May" or "pre-ban". Those are fully transferable, and HUGE bucks.

I suspect what GT was hinting at, is a whole lot of MG enthusiasts get there SOT and manufacturing endorsement to make guns to play with. Should a creation ever turn into a mil/leo sale, great.

It used to be that being a dealer was a get out of jail free card. With ATF clampdowns on demo letters, and a general hardening of the industry that's squeezing out the middlemen, manufacturing is becoming the only way for a lot of newbies to play the MG game without mortgaging their house.
