trophy bonded bear claws

Federal still lists a bunch of factory loadings available under the name "Trophy Bonded Bear Claw" but another site I looked at said they kept the name for factory ammo but no longer use the bullet of the same name in that ammo.
Midway USA lists the components bullets as discontinued.
The Speer site only lists Grand Slams and Hot Cors for rifle bullets.

A quick Google search shows many people not being able to find them and no one being able to confirm if they are discontinued permanently or temporarily. One forum had some guys saying the Marines are buying them all up for use in Afghanistan which seems unlikely.

They are not going to the war effort as you can only use fmj to shoot people. Speer was building them under license or contract or something as they never invented them and the agreemant ran out. Speer can no longer produce them and I have not heard of anyone picking them up. They were a good bullet and were bonded for real because they were built at high temperature and the lead was actually soldered to the copper jacket.

Actually, the TBBC bullets were used by snipers especially when shooting through glass (windshields and tempered glass). Even the USMC tried the TBBC in Afghanistan.
AFAIK, the TBBC is still made but available to LE as Jack Carter's familly does not have (or want) an agreement to manufacture it for general public.
