I posted a question a few weeks back, what colour should I paint my room, where all my mounts are going to be.... anyway, no replies. I guess there isn't awhole lot of "designer guys" on here.

So my new post...
Let's see photos of your trophy rooms, I am looking for ideas on how to "design my room" all pics welcome, I would especially like to see bird mounts.

didnt even see your post sorry LOL. i dont have a trophy room. but for the walls of yours have a look around to see if you could find some panneling or even wall paper that would make your walls look like a log ccabin that would defintly add a woodsy pioneer feel to the room

I would never do wallpaper, but I had considered panelling, my only issue with that would be removing all of the lights, outlets, baseboard heater and shelving to make room for the extra 1/8" of material I would be putting on the wall.

My thought was to actually take 1/8" Meranti (about $12/sheet) cover the walls and then go over it with strapping every 12 inches or so, give it a barn type look.
When I move I plan to redo a room from scratch (or build) with some sort of wood walls.

tongue and groove pine works nice and you can do a whole room in about 3 hrs. Easy to cap top and bottom. Just paint the wall medium brown before (to camo any knot holes etc). I did that in the old house and it looked nice. my wall in the garage is done that way and some horns hang there too. something to think about. I will do a pic later

I will try to post some pics of a friends place in Michigan. His trophy room is the entire basement of his 6000 ft2 house. It's unreal.

Full mounts of all NA sheep (grand slam), all NA bears, Full mount of muskox, you name it. African wierd horned buggers, a wolverine... cool stuff!
