Why? Just in case your drug deal goes bad? Having worn a plate carrier quite a lot I couldn't imagine who in their right mind would WANT to wear one to a one way range? They are designed for a 2 way range

Wearing an extra 30 pounds of kit (assuming you put plates in your plate carrier) just because you can is fun? I wish they had of told me that when I was in the infantry, I probably would have stayed a little longer

No one ever wants to be on a 2 way range.

For those who want to be somewhat prepared, it is necessary to at least train with your rifle with your body armor on at the one way range.

YMMV.

Those who NEED Armour are issued it. Military, law enforcement, armored car guys exc. They train wearing their issued kit for the reasons you mention above. But your average civilian who thinks he knows his way around a c7 because he beat COD on veteran truly doesn't need Armour, they just want to play army. My 2cents, I'd guess most (though not all) who wear Armour for work wouldn't choose to wear it "for fun" on an afternoon range trip

Like I said, YMMV.

Fudd behaviour kike this is exactly why the meida has no shortage of “qualified experts” willing to tell people ehy they’re better than you and why you shouldn’t be able to own something they used for 6 hours at basic.

Meh, I think the guys just pointing out the obvious. He isn't saying you shouldn't be allowed to buy it. Knock yourselves out, play army at the range.
