Trouble with .308 Nato brass

I got a large quantity of nato brass from a friend and now iam having troubles with it. Its Twin Cities Ordnance brass dated 69.

I full lenth sized the brass, decrimped and neck trimmed but it still wont fit in the chamber of my rem 700 without excessive force.

Any ideas?

Sounds like you need to bump the shoulder back a bit more.

and if that doesn't work, you might need to go to small base dies.

Just buy a Redding Body die. You can run your loaded ammo thru them without a problem. Try Sinclair International.

you can get a bag of 50 winchester brass

cost $23 at P&D. there add is up top ^^^

Run a felt pen around the shoulder of the brass. Put a sized piece in your rifle and close the bolt gently until you feel resistance. Give it a little more effort then extract the empty round.

Where is the felt pen mark chewed up a bit?

You might need to move your sizer die a little lower. How much space between the shell holder/shell plate and the bottom of the die when the ram is on full up stroke?
