I have run into a couple problems loading for Mdl. 70 that I just had rebarrelled to .270 Wsm. First some loaded ammo I had put together for the factory bbl. proved to be a little to hot for this new bbl. But when I went to use my old RCBS kinetic bullet puller I found these Wsm. rounds are to fat to fit in what to do?Have you used a kinetic puller of recent production on these short mags? My next problem is I prepped some new brass and FL. sized them in my Lee dies then went to trim them and I could not get the Trimer pilot to enter the case mouth.I removed the decapping rod and measured the expander ball.It measures .273.5 that seems small to me what do you think it should measure?

In a hunting load, you want about 0.002" interference fit. The brass will spring back about 0.001". So you want an expander ball about .276" or perhaps 0.275". So .2735 seems small.

The 270 WSM should fit any of the pullers made for the magnums like 7RM.

You could try putting the cartridge in the press with no die installed. Raise the ram so the shell sticks out the top and grab the bullet with a pair of pliers and cloth and lower the ram again. You may need to grip the bullet tighter without the cloth if it wont come out easily. This can be done without damaging the bullet in most cases.
