I am looking for some input and thoughts on where to source some parts for my new NEA-15 18" DMR

I am not overly happy with the way it is running right now around the 300 round mark. I have had some pretty mean stoppages (ie: torn rim off a chambered round during extraction, smashed seated bullet into the body of the case (x4), double taps on a single trigger pull (x5).
It passes the standard function test.

I have a feeling it is extremely over gassed, as it weighs more than a C7A2, yet it beats me up worse. I am running the gun under the IPSC Semi Auto - Standard - Minor. My loads are in the 162 - 167PF region according to load data

I check for high primers as I case gauge every round after loading on my 1050

This is my load
  • 55Grs FMJ
  • 25.9Grs Win 748
  • 100 of each of the following primers - CCI # 400(3 x Doubles), CCI #41(1 x Double), Dominion Small Rifle Primer(1 x Double) ( All seated to around .003" below flush )
  • 2.200" OAL
  • Win 1F Case Trimmed to 1.745"
  • Taper Crimp

The middle case is from a double - To me it looks like a sticking firing pin - When I was shooting these I completely disassembled, cleaned, and lubricated the BCG within 100 Rounds or so

So to rectify these problems while improving performance for three gun I am looking at the following:
  • Adjustable gas block - to go under the existing rail
  • Lightened bolt carrier group / buffer
  • SSG 3 Gun trigger
  • Compensator no larger than 26 x 90 mm

So my next question is any idea where I can source the required parts in Canada that would be in stock or be able to get them fairly quickly?
Think this will assist in resolving some reliability problems?

If you are having an issue with it, feel free to email support@northeasternarms.com and they will help you out.

I would try some factory ammo in it as well to rule out your reloads as that is probably the first thing you'll be asked.

Just a quick update for anyone who is interested:

I lubed the #### out of it so the internal mechanisms where wet with frog lube vs clean with a light coat of lube I had been running.

Shot 150 rounds out of the gun 1/2 Rem UMC, 1/2 my loads listed above and it ran perfectly.

I got it hot enough I burnt my hand on the fore end.... not the barrel, 12 inches away from receiver. Lube was literally dripping out of the gun as it got that hot...

SO end result is I guess it was just a little temperamental while it was breaking in, and just wanted to be wet. So now I am happy
