Troy ambi mag release

Sorry for the bump. I don't want to make a new topic.

Where is the best/cheapest place to get the norgon from? I've seen it at ATRS I believe and it seems to be ridiculously expensive.

I'm beginning to think it'll come to that.... They've got some parts and tools I need anyway, so I may as well blow a wad...

Surprised people still use the BAD lever... thought they basically cause more problems than needed.

Norgon works fine for me.

My thoughts exactly. Not worth the risk of inducing issues.

I should clarify that I personally don't run an ambi mag catch and I'm right handed. If I were a lefty, I would choose the Norgon. The down side to all of these aftermarket catches, for a right handed shooter especially, is the risk of accidentally releasing your mag. There is no guard preventing anything from bumping it. More of a problem for field use, but a valid concern. Seen it happen many times since the appearance of the Norgon catch in the CF.

Ya Brownells is the place to get the norgon and not get ripped off. I don't mean to disparage or own "local sellers" but when they bring in an $80 item and charge $120 I don't have any sympathy for businesses that have a %50 markup policy. Now not everyone is not like that and even sellers that price the norgon that way often have good prices on other items. It's more of a case by case basis. I just didn't want to paint a bad brush with everyone. There are even sellers that have prices on specific items that are even better than Brownells. You just need to look.

Sorry for jacking the thread. My rant is now over.
