picture an MCR where the rails are removable like on their modular RAS and with a folding AR stock adaptor, otherwise similar to the MCS and you would have a good mental image.

Yeah it's a modified gas system to fit the shorter barrel.

I wouldn't mind converting one of my M14's to one of these guys.

Gadget, your picture looks very similar but in the video the handguard was completely covering the oprod..?

The CAR-14 has been an evaluation in design, as you noticed originally it did not have a completely covered oprod area.

So true the M14 platform continues to inspire people to make it better and more user friendly, I had a chance to handle multiple variants of the CAR-14, and they also have a left folding stock adaptor, fixed, QD etc tc etc

the sage ebr we can have already here in canukistan..... sadly i think we will only be able to drool and possbly make trips to vegas to fondle one of these CAR14's ..... will have to see what the gun ranges have to play with when i take my month long stateside trip this spring.
