Troy Industries T-22 Battle Chassis

I've been humming and hawing over the T22 chassis for a while now. I'd like to hear some feedback as well.

Anyone know how these compare in weight with the SR22 chassis?

Any significant differences, such as ease of stripping/assembly or anything else?

I have the tactical version, but only took it out once. I think I need to re-mount the 10/22 in there because the barrel seems to be low, and it was a bit hard to slide the upper part of the stock in there. Maybe I didn't align everything 100% or didn't tighten the takedown properly first.. Also teh mag had a hard time fitting in properly after the installation. I'll revisit that this weekend and let you know.

As for shooting, its super comfortable and you can add tons of stuff to it. It doesn't feel like a 10/22 at all, its a whole different 22 now. The sights are awesome, but since my barrel was off center it shot way too low without adjustments. I'll focus on re-mounting the 22 first then see if the barrel's position is indeed naturally pointed that way.

Another thing, a long magazine is preffered with this stock, since it provides with a reference of there the action is. Stops your hand from moving too close to the trigger hand and possibly getting fingers slapped by the cocking mechanism. In my case anyway.

I knew I'd seen it recently so I used the search at the top of the page.

Some good info there for you.

No, this thread is better.

Yeah, I've read most of the threads on these already, and scoured YouTube. Once someone gets the Sport model in stock again I'll order it and compare the two chassis systems for myself, but keep the reviews coming all the same.

I ditched my SR22 chassis for a T22 ... and I like it better once I got it set up properly. One thing that got me right off the bat was the chassis would not accommodate an aftermarket adjustable v block. I had a Dlask made v block and it would not fit at all into the chassis. I ended up using a oem ruger one and the fit was perfect. I have the sporter version without the side and bottom rails and give a smaller grip around the fore end. I'll add a pic later on.

All in all I was impressed with it and look forward to getting out hunting partridge with it as well as the numerous range trips for plinking ;)
