Does anyone have any decent photos of their (or any) M14 in a standard stock, with the Troy Industries BattleRail?

Seems like a pretty sweet happy medium before the MCS :)

WoW that look's like a 1 piece of cool gear. Although I can't seem to find any info or reviews on it, as it seems like a new release.
There old kit was a whole rifle but now it's just the handguard...
I would like it, if it would incorperate the barrel attachment's like the UTG rail and got rid of there stupid front gas band idea. Then this set-up would be top tier in my world.

They have the whole modular system as well. This is a separate rail system. Was hoping someone might have pics other than what's on the site...

Can't seem to find much in the way of reviews either.

Target sports has one sitting on their self. I have two sitting on my desk and i am about to do unspeakable things to them

LOL..... do tell us about the unspeakable things you are going to do to those battle rails LOL
and please tell me you are possibly going to make a canadian version :D
the last time i saw a M14 battle rail in canada..... the owner said he paid in the HIGH 400.00 mark nearly 5 bills from a canadian retailer...... and that too me is a massive waste of money that could be spent on more ammo. But then again..... my stocks aren't cheap either hehehe and that's a lot of ammo too :D
The UTg tri rail , even though it is made by extrusion methods then finish machined..... is a decent piece of kit.... owned by i'd guess a few hundred canadian m14 owners and we see VERY FEW complaints here on the internet.
Believe me, I know what it's like to start drooling over m14 bling and getting the "I must have that" tunnel vision. I'd say for what it offers..... the Troy battle rail is an overpriced piece of bling much like the KAC m14 RAS which try as I might, will not hold zero as the front end is not anchored.
the UTG tri rail, Amega ranges handguard rail and the Ultimak rail are the only 3 I would recommend.

just my 2 cents
my fascination with the Troy product ended when they came out with the MK2 version of thier chassis system. P.O.S. in my opinion. I can't even tell you how many rigs were sent to me after thier owners had turned purple with the frustration of mounting thier Mk2 and having to retighten everything after every range trip. Some of those rifles were destined for duty over seas in the hands of private contractors and they were not too happy with the product.

Hey Doc, the KAC M14 RAS I had never gave me any issues with keeping zero.............fit was tight and there was no play in it............Yes, they are very expensive, but at the time, it was the only full length rail system available at the time ( S.A. had a Scout Mount along with the Rooster33 Scout Mount).

After going through and trying out various types of optics mounts, I came to the conclusion that the M14 is better left as a K.I.S.S. Iron sight rifle.........;) :D

but as always, YMMV........

Hi Satain,

I thought you knew about the Troy rail, it's been available for years. KAC and SAI rails are better as they're lower and allow the use of the original sights.

Phil

Personal reviews are held in alot higher than Gun's & Ammo or other media type review's in my book's. As I haven't seen any personaly or read anyone's personal view's I thought that some one on hear would have tried it by now and have something to say about it. As the only Troy M14 packages I have seen and used are there full stock mod's & found that they weren't my cup of tea.

on some of the usgi barrel/gas system equiped rifles the KAC was awesome and gave me no issues either, and no destroyed scopes from any bad vibration..... but as soon as i put her on a bone stock norc....... bad things began to happen .... at least on that particular rifle anyways. The KAC was the lightest handguard rail accessory i've handled so far and i really liked it for that and the craftsmanship was excellent. sadly it was sold off long ago to fund other goodies hehehe you know what i mean i'm sure ;)

as for scoping the m14....... essentially I am an iron sight guy these days and will be hunting my moose and deer in that fashion this year..... but i sure do like my shorty when it's got the UTG and an eotech onboard :D
