Anyone else encounter any issues with this rifle? I have a buddy who bought one new from local dealer, shot maybe 200 rounds out of it when it started to malfunction. The rifle was not Ejecting the spent casing and bolt carrier was hanging up. He took it back to the dealer for warranty repair and hasn't got it back in months with no word from the dealer on the situation.

You haven't really described the issues very well. What do you mean the BCG was "hanging up. Were parts changed at 200 rounds? was some new, different variable introduced? like lube or a new spring, different mags, different ammo,? Are there pictures of spent cases or parts that we can see?

Sounds like a lubing issue. Similar thing happened to my shortie. ARs like it wet.
I've handled the Northern Guard at my LGS and was intrigued enough to actually want to buy it. It's a good pointing, light and nice looking gun.
