Troy Muzzle Brake for the M305?

Hi all, I've purchased a Troy Industries Muzzle Brake https://canadiantacticalcowboy.myshopify.com/collections/barrels/products/troy-m14-m1a-flash-muzzle-brake , and I've now managed to send it downrange - twice, much to my embarrassment. It torqued down nicely the first time, and took about 30 rounds to loosen up and go. This led me to curse my luck, and put blue lock-tight on it. This morning, it was gone in the first 3 rounds. Has anyone been able to mount this $%* without using a crush washer, as the instructions say isn't required? This is my last stop before a gunsmith. Thanks for any input, including mockery of my inability to measure threads.

I bought one for a norinco M305 and had the same problem until I used a generous amount of red loctite, no problems since then

does that brake come in metric threads? or did you just bojangle it on?

No, the norinco M305 rifles have Standard threads on them.

no "bojangleing" required

Interesting, How old is your M305? mine is fairly new, so maybe older models had different threads?

The threads are different but are actually very close, norq are metric, yes you can usually screw them together,my smith vortex on my American barrels where only tighten by hand never came loose after a thousand rounds, maybe that's why you had to Lock tite urs on

My Norc is from 2012. They have to be metric threads, because the lock-tight barely caught the lips of where the treads start. I hand tightened it the first time, flew off in 20. This time, under 2. I refuse to spend $100 on a gunsmith for a $80 brake, on a $500 rifle. Lol

Bojangling! Thank you!!! Thank you!! if the lock tight doesn't do it load up some high quality teflon tape and try again!
