Troy PAR fail

Here's a pic of the whole system (spring loaded widget removed so you can see where the op rod goes) And a pic of the slide assembly with widget installed

When assembled like this all it takes is a little pull and the op rod comes out, sending the widget into space. I think the fix would be stronger springs? Any other opinions?

I think you've identified the issue. I have had this problem with my PAR 308. There's a notch in the oprod where it connects to the 'pump slide block'(?) Mine was worn so I got a replacement oprod from Troy. If you do go for stronger springs please let us know how it goes as I may do the same myself.

Shot my new Troy PAR 223 today. Initial issues with feed and bolt not seating. Forceful pump results in better seating.

Not this again. LOL.

Regardless of what any distributor in Canada tries to tell you; IRG has exceptionally good warranty coverage.
I would argue that IRG warranty coverage is actually better than any Canadian distributor can offer you.

They're able to bring guns back and forth across the border with ease.
As such; They will send your gun back to the factory in USA for warranty service.

This is a fact!

My PAR requires quite a forceful forward action to seat rounds properly. I’ve had FTF issues as well, and the rifle was from IRG. -10 weather here when last out and the rifle was rather dry. I’ll try again and report.

However the overall accuracy is good. I have mixed feelings on this rifle overall.

The PAR came back from IRG and is working fine.

It’s up for sale as in the meantime I’ve bought 2 WS-MCR, a few of the straight pull bolt actions, 2 Ruger 9mm PCCs and just got an X95 too. :)

It’s hard not to like the PAR, really. It’s very light, function is familiar to anyone that uses pump action shotguns and it seems more accurate than many comparable AR15s.
