TRS25 circle or blob?

Hey I picked up a TRS 25 on Amazon and when looking at the red dot it is not a perfect circle but rather a blob or asymmetric blur. Just wondering if anyone else has one and if that's just what you get when buying a $100 red dot rather than throwing down $300+

If this is a problem do you know if bushnell covers it under warranty?

Take it outside and look at the dot. I found mine looked like a blog indoors but looked like a dot outside. If it's still a blob chances are you have astigmatism and cannot use red dot sights

I concur ...

the same with mine TRS-25 ... sighted at the range and a few days later discovered that starry blob while preparing to go to the range again ... almost panicked
but, when at the range - it was OK and still holding zero on the spot...
 
The new style TRS-25 with the white lettering is not the same quality as the gold lettered TRS-25 that gave this red dot it's awesome reputation. It may not be your eyes. You will also find that the red dot will disappear in the top third of the glass because the emitter is at 6 o'clock instead of 4 o'clock as in previous versions
 
with 3moa dot, its almost impossible to get an alomost perfect dot. the bigger dots 6-12 moa will produce a better dot.
 
My TRS-25 dot appears irregular indoors, but is round outside. It is a function of ambient light and the range of brightness adjustment. I also concur that smaller dots are less likely to appear perfectly round for most users. It also helps to use both eyes and focus on the target, rather than the dot.

Even if the dot appears a bit irregular, you might still find it usable if your astigmatism is not too bad.

Pretty sure you've got astigamatism. I have it too, never realized until I asked the eye doc at my last eye exam. Basically said yep you got it. It makes much more sense now LOL.

I use a red dot for uspsa Carry optics.
