The only difference, for our purposes, is that the CPC may be susceptible to following our parade, from the front.

That is, if we can give them a parade to follow.

Not just a little parade that seems to protect a few of our firearms while the rest go into the blast furnace.

A parade that leads to repeal, significant damned repeal!

well the least time they were in power in majority they did not rescind any banned ones and just removed some parts of the lgr ...

so feel free to think they wuill give back some stuffs .. . now they are on the bard for hunting rifles nothing on black rifles or handguns but if you re content with that im not ...
 
To be fair, killing the LGR set the Liberal disarmament agenda back considerably.
We had a dozen years or so to pick up tools that aren't on a registry. I'm sure that terrifies the communists and their Poly useful idiots.
But I'm with you, all of these bans need to be repealed and a common sense Firearms Act be made. Written into the constitution with castle laws, so that the communists can never, ever disarm us.

You should be questioning why it is that we asked so little!

1. There is no such thing as “a common sense Firearms Act.”

2. There is no such thing as constitutional protections that can prevent the communists, or anyone else, from disarming us.

3. Only when men understand that every one of their neighbours has what the American constitution referred to as unalienable rights, including the right to keep and bear arms, and that they must be prepared to defend those rights with all that they possess, will the evil SOB’s or the Well Meaning be prevented from disarming anyone.

well sorry but in the yukon when we met the headmaster from ottawa and our new elected mp and we asked for more ... it is a shame that the gun owners did not do it but i can think of many places where they did try as well and were told that will be it ...

we asked for a rewrite of c68 like harper promised while in the opposition, we asked for the atc be given to anyone going in the wilderness, the return of ar15 and ak47 among others semi auto freed and no more restriced or prohibited and no more restriction on barrel lenght even for handguns ... and of course a little more among one thing that was clear i wanted the pal/rpal system tobe gone but we can always dream ...

Some of us did.

Then, as now, the vast majority of those who were asking were zoned in on their own little issues, to the exclusion of others.

As long as that dynamic continues, politicians will never do that which is required.

I've been trying to tell people this for months and they all think I'm crazy. If everyone has an electric car, all that is required to prevent movement is an "update". It is about 5-10 years away but will happen!
 
This has not, nor has ever been about hunting or shooting paper. It has always been about painting the people of Canada into a corner so that the government shall achieve and maintain the monopoly of force. You think they treat us poorly with all those rifles sitting "useless" in the gun safes of the nation, wait 'til the government has taken those self-same guns away.

I wonder how many people have come to realize full stays natives will not be losing any guns,including mini 14 s that some continue to use and hunt with even though they are banned now.None of these decisions will effect natives because they are guaranteed the RIGHT to arms ,while the rest of Canada has only privileges,natives actually have Rights ,there is no government that can ban Natives from owing firearms,they hunt for sustenance and can't be denied.
