bingo, can't understand why others can't see this!!
CPC doesn't have a faint hope in getting much of anywhere beyond a couple of mere seats. Conservative, or bust....
CPC is the Conservative Party of Canada
your thinking PPC People's Party od Canada-founded by ex conservative.

Yeah I messed that up..... Lol I meant the PPC.
There's no ban or buy-back coming, a grandfathering clause is what we'll see at the very most. The government isn't totally naive. They're aware, as are the Chiefs of police, that the rate of B & E's where the only thing 'stolen' was firearms would skyrocket over night. At least I hope they're not...
I’m right in Toronto. I can tell you that the chai latte drinking hipsters don’t give a damn about any of your logic. Get those killing devices out of our society! I wish that you boys are right and secondly I wish for a fair buyback price but I know better. instead I will return my AR with the nicest scope mounted to it because I know Justin would appreciate that and if I just toss it, it’s gonna hurt the planet by using up land fill.

Didn’t stop New Zealand. Notice the sudden close ties and solidarity with New Zealand after their incident. Care to guess what that was about?
The other issue with Grandfathering which I believe was the original idea until New Zealand is that by stating expropriation of these firearms they significantly increased the non compliance with non restricted that meet their new prohibited status. If Grandfathering was still the plan they wouldn’t be announcing this. Let’s be realistic many would have bought that class of firearms to have the 12(9) license. Now that it’s obvious to even those who were adamant that confiscation wasn’t likely what is the probability of non compliance with those non restricted? Do you think people still trust the government that registration doesn’t lead to confiscations? So if Grandfathering this tactic by the Liberals makes zero sense. If all out New Zealand style expropriation then it makes complete sense.

This is exactly it. Well said.Actually that wasn't my error. I took that into account. In fact I believe they had it setup for Grandfathering originally but have now gone to full confiscation. The main factor for that was New Zealand. Do you really think they are going to let New Zealand out virtue signal the Canadian Liberals? As you stated appealing to their guts and not their brains. This is an ideological issue to them. They really wanted to get rid of all the firearms. Grandfathering was the slow way of attrition. New Zealand did it and look at how they like to bring up other common wealth countries to justify new restrictions. Plus there were an awful lot of meetings with New Zealand officials after their shooting under the guise of solidarity. I don't think so. More likely comparing game plans so they could carry out confiscation instead of Grandfathering. No I don't think it would be a win for them. They would take all of the backlash from owners and a public that isn't really as concerned as the Liberals are and would fail to carry out their objective. Disarmament is their agenda.
Not that different. We are both Common Wealth countries. They know exactly what they are doing. Liberals are Globalists and believe the world should be under the control of the UN. This is now part of their core ideology and identity. Disarming the population is part of their mandate. Now let's think about this critically. Which type of weapon is used more in crime? Usually it's handguns due to their ability to be concealed, transported etc. More often than not black market and smuggled. Everyone on this forum has already established that this firearm ban has nothing to do with stopping crime. We all know that's a farce. However the firearms they are focusing on are the greatest threat to their authority, not to the general population or to reduce crime.
Exactly.Handguns are a threat for citizens.
Rifle are a threat for GOVERNMENT.
Therefore confiscate all rifles and do not care about handguns.
