Trudeau's Gun Ban and Buy Back

The right wants to remove women's reproductive rights. It's no secret. Look at what's happening south of the border. There's a push for that here in Canada by many people who have supported Scheer. As for the environment listen to all the scientists who actually know what they are talking about. You don't know you ignorant fartwaffles. Look up Dunning Kruger. I'm sick and tired of people who think they know better than the experts. But hey, you have your right wing media and Google. That's better than the science and the people who have actually been studying this for decades. You can call me a troll all you but all I see are abunch of whiney entitled and ignorant people without a clue what they are talking about. Good luck to all of you.

Lmfao dude it must be getting tough to breathe with your head that far up your own a$$. Nobody is planning on changing anything about abortion except for maybe eliminating it as a tax payer funded 3-7 month after pill. And rightly so. As far as the climate gibberish, look at who is funding the alarmists and ask yourself if they don’t spew that crap will they still be funded? 50 years ago we were going to freeze to death and now plant food is the demon. Besides, who is honestly that arrogant to think that humans don’t have a limited timeline. Yeah all politicians are questionable, but without firearms nothing will be left to stop them from their excessive abuses.

Trudeau’s been percolating this little gem of an idea since he got elected. Its just another step on the road to removing all legal civilian gun ownership. It will happen, unless there is civil war.

The millennials won’t figure it out until its too late and most of the rest of us will already be dead. You can vote for whomever you like, but you only delay the inevitable because cogent reasoned debate has less and less effect on canadian voters. Fight the good fight but millennials don’t have common sense and you can’t appeal to their logical side as they don’t have one. They only know how they feel and leftist politicians tell them how to feel.

It is a depressing position, but in a world where we will soon not be allowed to fly on airplanes or travel on vacation, it is just another feather in the cap of socialism and control.

Humans have fought for hundreds of years for the freedoms we had 40 years ago. Since then we have slowly given away those freedoms to feel better about some issue or another. The end result will be humanity’s plunging into another “dark ages” lead by socialists governing their surfs. Human freedom will rise again but it will take longer to achieve and be much more bloody than the last time.

‘Day of retribution’: Toronto van attack suspect describes hatred towards women as motive

So what do we do about this fruit loop. Go after Ryder Van Rentals?

Ban people from Renting vehicles?

Ban people from owning or driving vehicles?

Where does it end? "Van Violence"? How about people violence or don't we want to address the real complex issues? According to our PM I guess not, just beat up another minority in firearms owners; virtue signal, declare victory until the next Van, bomb or whatever? What then?

As Doug Lewis, then Justice Minister said in 1989 after Montreal "You cannot Legislate against Insanity"

This is my high power assault dog. Please don't ban her.

See, this is the problem with all the replies and comments. None of you seem to be able to comprehend what I am saying. I am not a fan of the Liberals either. My point is this and I'll post it in all caps so maybe it will sink in:

BOTH THE LIBERALS AND THE CONSERVATIVES HAVE A TERRIBLE TRACK RECORD ON MANY ISSUES. THEY ARE BOTH EQUALLY CORRUPT AND BOTH HAVE PRACTICED CRONY POLITICS AND ENRICHED THEMSELVES AND THEIR FRIENDS. BOTH HAVE PUT THE INTERESTS OF THE MIDDLE CLASS AND AVERAGE CANADIANS BEHIND THOSE OF LOBBYISTS AND BIG BUSINESS. BOTH HAVE IGNORED DATA AND SCIENCE WHEN THEY WANTED TO ADVANCE THEIR AGENDAS. I TAKE ISSUE WITH THE ROSY EYED VIEW MANY HAVE HERE THAT THE CONSERVATIVES HOLD SOME MORAL AND ETHICAL HIGH GROUND OVER THE LIBERALS. THEY ARE BOTH TERRIBLE IN SOME SIMILAR AND SOME DIFFERENT WAYS. ITS HYPOCRISY TO CALL OUT ONE PARTY WITHOUT RECOGNIZING THE FAILINGS OF THE OTHER.

Now with that out of the way, I have also stated several times that I think the gun ban is dumb and flawed. But I think it's also important to look at the overall policies of those seekingt to run our country. Seems like nobody here is willing or able to have a real discussion about that. I guess I also see a different path forward that differs form the majority of members here.

This is a gun page/forum after all is it not? Go to the CPC page and spew your winding nonsense there. We are all on this forum because of our guns, so it seems logically that the arguments we make and the people we should vote for would further the livelihood of gun ownership no?

I work with a lot of millenials. Men and women. ALL of them want to come to the range. Of the ones I bring to the range, all of them, without exception, want to shoot the AR first, and that's before I even show it to them or mention it. Most of the woman indicate an interest in carrying for self defense in the age of ME TOO. None of them think that a gun ban will work to reduce violent crime, and none of them think its fair. None of them seem particularly bothered by owning guns without government sanction either. This is the you can't tell me what to do generation.

Tell a millennial they can't have something and they will want it more. All of them grew up smoking pot in a time of pot criminalization and saw how non compliance and activism forced the government to change tack. Millennials CAN be a positive force for change for us, if only we can get them on board. Describing them as being innately illogical or emotionally programed slave bots ruled by government whim is a surefire way to lose them forever.

While much ink has been spilled about the tendency for baby boomers to increasingly be retiring with mortgages, in 30 years we will be talking about millenials retiring with student debts. While they are significantly more prone to emotional and mental health issues on the whole, that's simply how their baby boomer parents raised them. Millenials do not lack logic or reason. about a What millenials lack is discipline, perseverance, resources, and most importantly life experience. Discipline and perseverance can be taught. Lacking resources and life experience has been true of every generation of young people ever.

Few of the millenials I meet can maintain their new found interest in firearms ownership long enough to overcome course wait times, and fewer still are enthusiastic about the price tag associated with firearms ownership. However, a little bit of support encouragement and guidance from the older generation, is likely all that it takes to help welcome this new generation in our ranks. And we must, or we are toast.

I don't see how municipalities are going to be able to enforce a gun ban. FOIP laws would have to be sidestepped to hand my personal information over to the city for enforcement.

in canada we seem to have to "debate " everything from parking to infrastructure etc. municipalities will just say" oh lets debate this next month or later".

Another 4 paragraphs of useless and aimless filler and distraction.

More navel gazing and pie in the sky plan making about a future that will not exist.

The question is what are people doing NOW.

What are people going to DO NOW.

Not in a generation.

Again, wondering or wishing away real life serious issues as 'dunno how they can do that' 'there are laws in place' etc etc

They can do anything they want, they have no accountability as to budgets and deficits.

This is demonstrated again and again.

People fall into the fallacy of their own reason, and reasonability.

Average people believe you cannot do what they themselves would not act or think like.

Government does not think like people or reasonable people....

Again, we have seen time and time that on this issue it does not.

For example they have completely swept away any technical, logical or fact or evidence based argument and are going after us with complete lies.

Anybody look like stopping them??..............

Any issue of law stands up only as long as they say that it doesn't mean WHAT YOU CLAIM OR THINK IT DOES.

They do what they want, when they want, how they want and can do and say anything they want unless you are a privileged or special person.

Those folks are the only ones that are safe as they do not worried about things the rest of us have to deal with.

Not thinking about the future, is what has given us this present.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—

Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
