Trudeau's Gun Ban and Buy Back

As adam corolla says cultures that emphasize family and education prosper.
Poverty has nothing to do with it. Its insulting to say that the poor turn to crime when plenty of poor people are law abiding and plenty of rich people commit crimes. Poor people from broken homes who dont emphasize intact families andeducation and instead emphasize a victim mentality are drug and crime ridden.
It really isnt complicated at all

Well... it actually is a bit complicated. I think what you’ve said regarding low income groups perfect illustrates the confusion between probability and prejudice. The probability than a low income individual is a criminal is much higher than a wealthy one. Prejudice, however, would be disallowing poor people access to public places because they are more likely to be a mugger. It is also fair to say that correlation is not causation; meaning that it may be that low income leads to crime, or that crime leads to low income, or that neither condition leads to the other. Low income and crime, however, do overlap considerably.

As far as I’m concerned, public policy should be governed by statistics and probabilities. Meaning, people respond to the incentives they understand. Harsh penalties for crimes absolutely deter criminal behavior, and public policy should reflect that. On the other hand, people will [nearly] always act according to their best interests; but those can be hard to predict for those outside of the situation. For example how many people here, regardless of the penalty, would steal food to keep their children alive? I’m willing to bet nearly anyone. On the other hand, if stealing a quad meant 20 yrs in jail it’s unlikely anyone would risk it, especially since, given the potential cost (20years in jail) you would actually be more likely to be caught.

My point is this; the conservative platform of harsh penalties for crime absolutely are based on real statistics and incentives. They are often implemented badly, but the thinking behind them is sound.

And that’s where the conservatives go wrong. We don’t need more cops and harsher penalties, we have to dig into the causes of crime, youth development, social issues, poor immigration, poverty. The hardest and most expensive solution is to stop crime before it starts but it’s the only effective way. Drives me nuts the Libs and conservatives always bicker over meaningless, reactionary “solutions”.

These are exactly my thoughts!

Woah.

The Buffalo is reporting a source to have revealed that the girl was given $2.25 million for her silence Wednesday night
The Buffalo is also reporting that one of their sources is a friend of the family and that they have discussed the story with the girl's father who asked that their name not be revealed.

a) the Buffalo Chronicle is fake news

That's quite a blanket statement.
I distinctly remember the Buffalo Chronicle as being one of the first publications to cover the details around the SNC-Jody Wilson Raybould scandal, far before other publications felt obliged to begin reporting on it.

338canada.com shows the Libs take a dive after yesterday and the Cons pick up steam. Still predicting a Liberal Minority at 57% odds though.

They're predicting 57.9% odds for liberal, and out of those 57.9%, 26.8% is majority, 31.1% is minority.
41.5% odd of conservatice win, 10.6% majority and 30.9% minority.

In other words, the chances for a minority are pretty high, but even then, a 168 seats minority can be massively different from a 145-155 seats minority.

There's a small possibility (0.6%) of a tie. Now that would be entertaining.

I am voting tomorrow. Also advocated for other 20-30 people to go for CPC. Not just for pro-gun; but I think Liberals will have us in the hole should there actually be a global recession in the next 5 years.

The "red communists" a.k.a. liberals and their sheeple are so brain washed to the point where when presented real science and facts they kind of hear it, acknowledge it for a brief second and instantly go back to their trance like mind state where the only truth is the one preached to them by their red communist leaders. Example; me: Hey, what do you think of this mass scale semi-auto rifle and handgun ban in Canada? Reds: " who needs a people killing machine gun like AR-15 with 200 rds before reloading? Me: Did you know that full auto rifles have been prohibited in Canada for a long time, and current sporting AR-15's hold only 5rds after which reloading is needed, and that only vetted citizens with proper licences can buy one?
Reds: ' Oh ok, but who needs such a rifle in Canada or a handgun (with confused look in their eyes) ?
This is such a dangerous group of people devoid of any reason within or common sense.
Is there even a way of exchanging facts or common sense conversation with brain washed communists who appear to be in some kind of trance like state?

Angus Reid and Dart now have the Liberals under 30% support.

Libs having anything under 32% is a chance of a Conservative Majority. (still a long shot)

"They" also said H. Clinton had a 100% chance of winning... right up to the end... and the end of turdos govt is what we need

That’s a fact and hopefully the Turd is flushed.

Wife and I were at the polling station this morning and I took off of my “Make Trudeau a Drama Teacher Again “ hat before going in and promptly put it back on after voting. Been wearing that hat constantly for the last 2 months.
