I was in the US a few weeks ago and picked up this cheaper TruGlo red dot sight for $99. I needed a red dot for my 10/22 nomad and wanted something that would be fast but I was on a budget. So when I saw the TruGlo stuff I figured, why not give it a try. I finally got around to installing it and sighting it in/testing it tonight. Im VERY impressed with it so far.

It has 4 different reticle choices, 2 different size dots and 2 different size circles with dots in the centre. It has red and green illumination and 6 brightness settings for each. It attaches to the rail with 2 simple thumb screws and stays tight. Sight adjustments are easy to make with an allen wrench.

Took me about 20 rounds to get it close to perfect at 50 yards... then i took my time with another 20 rounds to get it REALLY good. After I had it setup I put 500 rounds through it in a mix of rapid firing full clips and slowly shooting 5 round groups. Below are some of my best groups of the day, all at 50 yards. These groups were all off my bipod, no rear bag. I was firing winchester M-22's (which I really like BTW). Sorry about some of the out of focus pics... Iphone was having a bad day.

There are actually a couple 1 inch groups... pretty impressive for a stock 10/22 action and barrel with a cheap $99 red dot at 50 yards off a bipod with bulk ammo I think.

It IS airsoft and it required only a tiny bit of filing on the hinge to get it to fit correctly. I have a thread about it. The folding latch CAN be functional but I chose lock it open. EXCELLENT stock for this gun. Im very happy with it.

I just recently put one on my Ruger 22/45 Lite. It was pretty much dialed in at 15M right out of the box. Shot about 120 rds to date....no issues. Bit big for the lite but shoots well with a good selection of dots and color. I'll switch it over to my turkey gun in the spring. Recommend for the price ($75 fleabay).

Thanks for the info. I found the thread - looks like a pretty easy conversion. Ordered a stock from a Canadian airsoft place, just under $100 shipped & taxed.
