A few years ago a couple in GP claimed that their horses had been shot 3 years in a row. Nobody's luck is that bad.
There are a lot of hunters out there doing stupid crap from what I have seen in my area. This almost seems to be the norm these days rather than the exception.

There is more anger directed here towards the media and the RCMP instead of the sh!tbirds that shot up someone's house. There are a lot of hunters out there doing stupid crap from what I have seen in my area. This almost seems to be the norm these days rather than the exception.

And blaming the homeowners who must have "pissed someone off."

I can sure believe that someone could wind up with their horses shot three years in a row...but it certainly wouldn't be due to the horses being mistaken for game animals.
I find that I spend a lot of time explaining the difference between poachers and hunters to people."Grande Prairie RCMP said they’d received several complaints in the past few days about people hunting on their land without permission. "
Would rather they use the term "poacher" to describe the illegal hunters, rather than just "hunters".
They don't say what the "shots" are. Bullets, or shotgun pellets?
Trust the media and RCMP to automatically assume this was the work of hunters... http://globalnews.ca/news/1676355/bullets-fired-into-parkland-county-home/

I live in a rural area near urban centres. When gun hunting season starts the area tolerates assorted armed numbskulls from neighbouring communities with hunting licences. Four shots into a house doesn't surprise me all that much. Trespassing is almost a given. I hold a hunting licence and the actions of so-called "hunters" offends me far, far more than the words of the media and police. YMMV.What hunter can put 4 shots close together in a house shooting at a moving animal. Doesn't make sense. Then the police saying this is to be expected at this time of year from hunters, pisses a law abiding hunter and shooter off as it should you too.

I'm not accepting blame. I am facing facts. There are far too many hunters out there that are a disgrace. Too often people on this site give them a pass and put the blame on the police and media. If you are fine keeping your head in the sand about the state of our sport then all the best to you.Well if you are fine with accepting blame bestowed upon you by RCMP and the media for being a law abiding hunter instead of the blame being focused where it should be, squarely on the shoulders of a rogue gunman, criminal or poacher, then all the best to you. I do not. Enough said.
