Truvelo Raptor

The "John Marshall rail" will be released in the new year as one of our Rauch Tactical products. It will be part of our VZ58 lineup.

Anyways, innovation and initiative always trumps unimaginative and uncouth.

I actually think that it is not bad a solution!!!:p

It looks weird-but that's pretty much what the Polish did with the Beryl too.

Except the Beyrl style mount is not ideal compared to other solutions out there, and wears out where it attaches to the butt screw, and you have to remove it to strip the weapon,it is not zero repeatable, but hey it's cheap ($60.00) so you can buy a few when they fall apart :D
The quad rail style replacement parts are superior by far and you can strip the weapon with them mounted.

And yes there will most likely be no large production runs of the raptor for export.

The solution to the AK or VZ58 is.......a swiss arms!

In 1949, no one thought of mounting stuff on top of the receiver "cover"

The AK and FN FAL architecture are never meant to be mounting platform - they still inherited the linkage to rifles of the yesterday where the receiver sits in the stock, and the top is open for stripper clip.

DINGDINGDINGDINGGGG....GIVE THE MAN A PRIZE!!!!! Exactly an old commie rifle will never be as modular or have the mounting options that a new built from the ground up to be modular design will, just a band aide solutions.

Laru's new Larue AK Irondot looks pretty promising. Too bad it wouldn't work on the 58:mad:

We're currently working on a co-witnessing mini red dot mount for the VZ58. We looked at something similar to the iron dot system but have so far decided against it. Ours is a bit of a different concept but preliminary testing is looking good. :D

You sir are my personal hero.

If you can pull that off I'll be ordering a 58 again.
