Having moved to Ontario last year from Manitoba I expect to do a lot more ruffed grouse hunting in woods and a lot less sharpie and hungarian hunting in open fields. Anyone got any suggestions for helping me rein in my setter. She ranges too far away from me to be much use in the woods. She is fine in the open field hunting out west but here she gets too far away too fast.
Especially because she will hold a point on the huns or sharpies but the ruffies tend to flush very quickly (usually before I get there.)
