Thad, for your comparison to your YHM rail...don't know why you had to 'machine' your rail down for it to fit. The DD Omega just dropped in without any force, hammering, or modifications.

Ha we think alike, I did get it ready but it is hard to try to tap it at the position it is at, I have a second pair of hands and brain coming over to see if we can make it work.
All I can say is you are very lucky you did not have to go through the crap I did. I actually thought it was going to be a complete loss for me at one point, but my friend did not give up and wasted a whole evening from his wife and kids to help me make it work. Thanks man. There was no chance in hell it was going to fit without removing the two nubs and the metal I filed.
It looks like the front handguard cap is too small - who made this rifle?
the sling swvivel is roll pinned - that's not the right way. It should be riveted.
