Do you know where one can get some of this? I am looking around as a favor to one of our local gunsmiths and cannot find a listing of it anywhere.

Any ideas, help or leads would be appreciated

I don't think it exists anymore. There are zero references to it outside of decade-old gun forum postings. I suggest finding an alternate, such as Marinetex, Acraglass or Devcon Steel epoxy.

Thank you for the reply. do you or anyone else know the name of the company to begin my Easter egg hunt?

One mans opinion : Richard Franklin's Step-by-Step Guide to Pillar Bedding .... Among the products I've used, Bisonite is my second choice, but I think Devcon will last longer.".

It's quite a few years ago, but I used MarineTex and Acraglas with great satisfaction.
Is there some compelling reason to be fixed on Bisonite?

Bisonite was really hard when cured and didn't have much shrinkage. It may have been the hardest compound I have used. I never tested it to see if it was as solvent resistant as Acraglas but never heard anything saying it was not. Devcon is degraded by Hoppes #9 and so is Acraglas gel.

Thank you. I checked with HS and they haven't had any in 15 years. I checked with Badger Ordnance in MO and they were very helpful. At the time Bisonite was good and had a 3% shrinkage rate and not susceptible to solvents like Hoppes 9

They also tested Marine Tex and found it to be very good/better with a 1.5 shrinkage rate and not susceptible to solvents like Hoppes 9. Does anyone know the stock number of Marine Tex for glass beading rifles; the pick of the litter?
