Apparently I can press down on the pedals of my Range Rover shooting brake better with those boots.

Re: sizing from Walker and Hawkes. They manufacture their line themselves, I believe, and the sizing chart seems to be exactly how the garments are cut. I never would have thought a jacket labelled 'large' would fit me but trusted the guide as recommended by my friend and got a perfect fit.

Honest truth is I also bought a yak sweater, 2 actually, and have picked up a couple used camel hair ones on ebay.
Who buys a used camel hair sweater from Florida ?
The natural fibres are great. Just not sure if that justifies it ??

Only been on the new gear kick recently. My last hunting sweater, which still works for the duck boat, I’ve worn for 25yrs.
~A few years back my hunting buddy who lives in a trendy part of downtown TO says one grouse trip, “Hey Mike, if you come to Toronto wearing That and stand on the sidewalk with an empty cup people will put money in it.”.

Speaking of over the pond styles i inherited a barbour coat and pants set of very high quality. I ordered the liquid wax to redo the wax but the pants dont have belt loops they have sets of bottons designed for suspenders i believe. Anyone know where a mere mortal of modest means could find a set of correct suspenders. Or should i just have belt loops added?

I found a couple sets of those suspenders at an army surplus store years ago. Cheap too.

Once you get used to wearing hunting pants with the proper, attached by buttons, suspenders, you will never go back to a belt. I found a good place on line for suspenders of the proper sort....will dig it up and let you know.

The suspenders came in and are actually quite comfy. I think ill be rocking these barbour pants for early turkey season. Should pair well with my jd dougal side lever

Thanks for the tip, OP. Just placed my order, including their version of a waxed cotton Barbour. Already had a tweed shooting vest, a tweed jacket (with suede elbow pads, of course), a tweed Yorkshireman's cap & a crushable wool safari hat, but you can never have enough of those!
