TT-33 ammo, surplus Russian or Czech? Pics added

While I wait for the registration for my new TT-33 to show up I'd like to buy a crate of 7.62x25, if you own a TT-33 what do you prefer? I have the option of Russian or Czech surplus, as well as new production Norinco. I'm leaning towards the Russian as its a bit cheaper and a shorter drive to pick up locally, any one better than the other?

The Czech stuff I've used was hotter than the Russian stuff. If you're looking for more "bang for yer buck" I'd go that way. I also don't think you have to worry about wearing your Tokarev out either, they are built like most things from middle Stalinist CCCP, "like tank".

I would go with the Czech. The muzzle blast is half the fun of a TT-33 :)

I have some Russian ammo but I found it wasn't as accurate. The Russian ammo I have is copper washed and has dimples instead of a crimp to hold the projectiles in place.

I haven't tried the Norinco ammo yet.
 
for me not sure but don't get anything that is coated copper washed...once it starts to warm up the coating comes off in the gun and will start jamming it up...mine and my P762 would jam once I switched to copper washed rounds nothing but smooth sailing

I'm leaning towards the Russian due to price and reading of people having ftf with Czech surplus. Tradex is out of Norinco and canam has 2520rds of norc for $699. Russian seems like the best deal unless there's a Canada day sale happening, the wife will shoot this as well so if Russian isn't as hot as Czech that might be a good thing lol.
 
Look at the crates if possible, determin what year ammo was made. Chez ammo if marked aym usually copper wash steel case and if on stripper clips can be brass case. bxn is usually laquer coated steel case and can cause extraction issues in tight chambers. Russian may be newer made and is copper washed cases just as norinco. Some chez ammo has steel core penetrator and can be damaging to backstops of some indoor ranges.

I've never had trouble with Czech ammo out of a Tokarev.

Hmm, I'll have to find out the Czech date of manufacture, they also have a couple items I need so the difference of $40 between Russian and Czech ammo is not a big deal if I can grab a couple other things as well. They're on strippers, I take it they're for something other than the TT. PPSH I presume?
 
Stripper clips are for Chez designed sub gun series that have a holder on the side to load mags with them. Very clever and functional device. PPSH were just drop rounds in to the drum or load mags one by one. I use these tok stripper clips with 223 and striplula to load my AR Lar mags. Holds 8 only but they do the job
 
Whatever stuff has the brass case and silver tip - my brother was having to double strike it quite often. Not as reliable as the old steel cased stuff.

Yeah the guns jammed when they got hot n dirty, but that was 400-600 rounds down the pipe!

I may not care for the TT any longer, but that sure as heck was an entertaining little round!

Are they the same strippers as the 7.62x39 or are they different? I haven't bought any ammo yet, still waiting for the registration to show up in the mail.
