TT-33 ammo, surplus Russian or Czech? Pics added

The ammo that worked well for me was Czech on stripper clips, steel cased with dark green lacquer coat, with copper coated bullet. BXN marked, and 74/54 marked boxes.

I have had a lot of problems with the Czech stuff getting stuck in the chamber in my Polish Tok. The Russian stuff seems fine. The Czech averaged about 200 fps faster than the Russian. I think the problem is due to the steel case expanding too much and not extracting.

Just picked up a spam can of the Russian surplus, just have to find some time to get to the range and stretch its legs. Gave it a proper clean and lube, it def looks unrefurbished an in beautiful condition. I'll try and post some pics in a bit.

1952 Tula. All matching numbers, both mags included. I looked real hard and there's no signs of serial numbers that have been scrubbed and re-stamped, no electro penciling and all the bluing is even, no real holster wear. Looks real clean in my eyes.

Got out last the other night and shot about 300 rounds through it, I like this TT-33. Fun to shoot, pretty accurate if I'm doing my part. Didn't shoot out any further than 10yrds, shoots a nice fireball as well with the Russian surplus I picked up.

My only gripe would be it's a bit narrow for my hands, although after a box or two of ammo I found a comfortable grip on it. The trigger started to rub my finger raw I after about 100 rounds and I'm going to make some thicker wood grips, I'll just have to toughen my finger up by shooting I some more. Otherwise it ran like a champ, no ftf or fte. In true Russian surplus form it throws casings pretty far. Already picked up some extra mags, 2 is not enough lol.

I went the "other" way and bought a case of Norinco non-corrosive, wasn't cheap, around $750 for what ever a case was (2250 rounds .. or there abouts). Too many guns and not enough time for cleaning as often as I should so I avoid corrosive ammo.

The Norinco stuff shoots great, lots of bark, no feed issues, all good.

If it was cheaper I'd buy the non corrosive x25 norc, but unlike x39 from canam the tokarev ammo isn't as cost effective. I don't mind cleaning after shooting surplus anyway so surplus is aok with me, anything I'm shooting non corrosive gets cleaned less frequently unless I feel like it.
