So my brother is shooting his Tokarev today and suddenly the hammer starts following the slide forward after each shot.

We took it apart and it looks like a piece has broken off of the bottom of the disconnector.

I see that Tradeex lists the part.

Anyone have any tips, cautions, or instructions for swapping it out?

On another note my Gun Parts Warehouse firing pin works just fine in mine, so my own TT-33 is back in service, after a year.

The Tok actions are dead nutz simple. No worrys or tricks other than the usual one of laying the parts out so you can put them all back the same way. For example I like to put any springs down with the forward facing side pointed up on the mat or oriented in the same way as they rest in the gun for coils. Pins are all set up with the left side end pointed towards me. As for things in the Tok action that'll jump away I don't recall anything like that. You simply need to take the tension off the leaf springs as you remove the pins to avoid parts flying around.
