TT-33 ok to dry fire?

DUmb question, but I know some guns it's not OK to dry fire....kinda like my USP.

It's russian made. It's fine to use it to club enemy's skulls.

A serious answer? I dry fire my TT33 with no problems. Knock 'em dead.

Dry firing a USP is no no? That's news to me.... I have one on the way and plan on dry firing it more than actual live firing.

I believe that's only the case for centrefire guns, not the rimfires. Could be wrong though.

Rimfire semi-autos are still a no-no for dry firing. Kimber says their Rimfire Target 1911 can be dry-fired, but I am not sure.

This has reached myth status in the firearms community - lots of hearsay, little substance.

I too could be mistaken, but I understand that the only concern with dry-firing is with rimfire firearms, as the pin could contact the receiver and make indents in it without a brass rim to intervene. On centrefires, a dry-fired firing pin meets open space.

Yeah, sorry. When I said semi auto, I actually meant centerfire...I was thinking something else as I was typing.
