TT33's on the EE and their value

I'm in the market for one of these. I've priced them out around 169.00-189.00 from vendors and a local dealer. When I see them on the exchange forum - some folks are looking at 200, 225, 250, 300+ for these. I've inquired to the sellers what makes their pistols more valuable then the standard ones I'm seeing from the dealers - and I have yet to get a response - and I'm not being rude, and clarify I am interested and curious.

My question is what's going to change the value so drastically? The pistols locally are refurb and near mint. I imagine an unrefurb would / could fetch a premium.

Some guys are offering them with extra mags and some ammunition. I've seen one with a ported muzzle brake.

I think some guys are just trying to cover the cost to buy while others are trying to make a little $. Remember, if you buy it from a vendor, there is tax and shipping to think about.

One went through the EE a little bit ago for $135. It didn't take long to sell.

I've seen some TT33's with GREAT bluing that look almost new and I've seen some with just decent finish. I would say that's a big factor.

250-275 shipped is a fair price for a real nice one. You're not losing out and neither is the seller. 200-225 for one with decent finish.

Some don't have refurb marks or the UN import stamp. That could drive the price up a bit. One without any refurb marks and in excellent condition (presumably unissued) would probably go for 300-350 shipped.
