I recently picked up a 25-06 with the intention of using this rifle for coyote, antelope and deer hunting. I will be using the 100gr TTSX, I know the TTSX is an excellent performer on antelope and deer but I have no first hand knowledge of how it will perform on coyotes. Has anyone used the TTSX on coyotes and if so how was the terminal performance?

I think that the 75gr Vmax might be a less expensive better choice for a coyote round. FS

As others have already pointed out, don't use these "penetrator" bullets on yotes if you have plans to save the hides for sale. Large exit hole is guaranteed with these bullets. Get a real varmint bullet like the Hornady VMAX. I shot a wolf with my .270 with a handload 110gr VMAX bullet chrono'd @ 3100fps from 50 yards. NO EXIT WOUND!!! I am sold on this bullet for varmints.

I wouldnt' waste any Barnes bullet on a dog. As mentionned above...a bullet that cost a third of a ttsx will do a great job for this. If only want to load one bullet for anything than I guess the ttsx will do....hides are not worth much anyways.

you'd be silly to waste a premium bullet on a coyote. Go buy some cheap lead point hunting rounds and crank em. Save the premium stuff for the tough critters.

Cheers!!
