Tube gun

Any one have one of these? Came across it yesterday and seems very interesting. I have a SS 700 action and now thinking of going .308.
Leaning toward the 308 Winchester over the 30BR. Readily available brass and I have no intentions of serious competition even though my last 308 was a tack driver. Does anyone know where in Canada one can purchase these kits and what reputable gunsmith can do the work?

Precision Shooter magazine had an article about doing it yourself a month or two ago. It didn't look too complicated.

However, one shooter wanted the action blueprinted inside and out before he put the action onto the stock. Although I can understand the logic of doing the blueprinting, it sure drives up the cost. As you aren't looking to do any competition shooting, you might consider putting the action into the stock yourself. At least consider it before hiring a smith...unless you have lots of extra money, or a smith who owes you a favor.

The MAK kit Kevin will ship direct to you. Mine arrived in around the 2 week mark. With the Eleseo kit they would not ship to me, They wanted a importer/exporter to handle the kit.
Needless to say I went with the MAK after talking with Kevin. He was very helpfull indeed. Mine is together except for trigger and rings.

hard to justify the cost of a Tubb 2000

Kind of hard to do that considering the Tubb 2000 is a nonexportable item out of the US kind of like comparing a Cessna 172 to the Space Shuttle

Hi Craig,
I never even got to post it. A buddy called me and took it .
I may have a Single Shot new build in 6BR for sale but it depends if my winter builds get done in time for spring start up.If I don't get builds done,then I'll use this one.
