Does anyone out there use one of these for reloading your tube feds

I have used one for many yrs now and have found it to be very handy.

Spee-D-loader Cabela's carries them for $19.99

If you've always wanted the lightning fast reload time of a clip-fed .22 from your tubular magazine, the Spee-D-Loader® was made for you. Feeding the ammo from one of the eight ammunition chambers takes only a few seconds so you can get back to shooting. Makes reloading your Marlin model 60, 94-22 Winchester or any other tubular magazine rimfire incredibly easy and eliminates dropping rounds to the forest floor. Clear PVC construction shows how many rounds you have left. Holds 15 rounds of Long Rifle ammunition or 11 magnum rounds in each reloading chamber.

I have 2 of them. I have one for my underbarrel tube .22 and the other for my thru stock tube .22

Great for plinking. Pain in the ass loading them though (Takes too long). I need to make a speed loader for it. :)

When you figure out how to make a loader for them let me know :D Once all the tubes are filled they work well. They used to use tube fillers during the civil war for the old 56 spencers if I remember right.

The other way is to use large straws and seal one end and then fill. Used to do it this way as a kid with my old marlin 81 DL worked great. That may work as a way to fill the speed loader too just fill a straw and pour in:eek:

I made my own with arrow shafts..works great and cheap to make

Hi, no I didn't cut the other end, that way you know which end to put in the tube end (mag). You wouldn't want the shells in the wrong way. :p

I made 10 of these arrow speed loaders and they work perfect!!

Thanks for the great idea....

I did like you said.. left one end closed.. I left the insert in the tip... laid out 15 rounds end to end to get the rough length needed.. did a rough cut to length.. dropped in 15 rounds... left a little space for the pin but not enough to fit the 16th round in.. drilled the pin holes and trimmed to length...

this made things very easy out at the range!!

Good for you, they are especially handy in cold weather, as I'm sure you found out, you don't have to load the shells one by one in the mag slot with cold fingers:)
