Can I load my .357 magnum tube magazine rifle. With ammo with full metal jacketed SWC type bullets? I read somewhere that unless you have lead nose bullets you risk a detonation.

hmmm interesting ............

my way of thinking is this , as long as the flat part of the bullet is larger in diameter than the primer , so that when the bullets are pushed into each other during recoil , the base of the brass gets pushed on rather than the primer ( assuming the primer is seating slightly lower than the case head ) everything should be happy .

Yes, no problem at all. I've used round nose in most of my Win levers of much higher intensity than the 357, without ever a hitch.
The old wisedom of not using pointed bullets in a tube magazine apparently has never once been proven by a chain ignition, according to research somebody did that I read. The force it takes to ignite a primer of modern construction simply cannot be exerted by a bullet nose under recoil.
