TUFF-22 vs Ruger 10/22 Takedown vs Ruger 10/22 Target

In my experience the best 10/22 combo for ultimate accuracy is: Dlask receiver, Kidd barrel, Kidd trigger, Kidd bolt

I am kind of curious about the new ruger competition, supposed to be the gun everyone has been building for 20 years. Comparing a stock 10/22 to a dlask is like a Mercedes to a chevette. There is a reason the ruger is 400 and a completed dlask is what 1100?

The new Ruger Competition from the Custom Shop is probably the best factory 10/22 you can get. They added all the mods most people would make. Higher spec chamber, fluted barrel, 30 MOA rail built in and a 2nd action screw in the rear. The more rigid stock has an adjustable cheek riser which is nice.
The only area left to upgrade is the trigger. The BX trigger is better but not on par with the best aftermarket triggers. That would be the only mod left and maybe a chassis swap.

Why spend that much and still have a gun with a bunch of parts that need changing? The stock ruger trigger is garbage and the BX is only marginally better. The factory Ruger receiver is functional but still is massed produced inferior quality compared to almost any custom receiver made from far superior grade aluminum and machined. As far as barrel quality im not even going to go there. Those that know, well they know. Just call Dlask and have them build what you want the first time and it will cost lots less and youll have what you want the first time. Anyone in south eastern ontario is welcome to shoot any one of mine or the ones Ive put together for other competitive shooters in Ontario. Properly fitting the barrel is not as easy to do unless ur extremely handy. Getting a snug fittment with extractor slot aligned properly is not as easy as it looks on videos. Freeze the barrel and heat the receiver helps but better make sure you know what ur doing or youll have a nice piece of scrap aluminum.

Thanks for the feedback, after much reflection and shopping around, I've ordered and received a Ruger 10/22 Custom Competition rifle because of availability.
I'll probably order a DLASK Tuff22 this spring or summer but in the meantime I'm extremely impressed with overall quality and finish of the custom shop Ruger.
(The only major improvement would be a match, all metal trigger group instead of the BX trigger)

I will definitively go for the "my rifle shoots 1 MOA all day" challenge with this rifle as soon as possible!

I have never gotten though a full tuff 22 mag without a malfunction. I have three magazines and they all do this. Malfunctions are an issue in the first 10 rounds.. the last ten rounds always run fine.

Yea Dlask TUF-22 is actually a real rifle, the fit and finish on the rugers is pretty bad.
If you have to ask get the tuf22 - you will be happy with it.
Hi, I bought the TUF-22 receiver and wanted to fit a Dlasks D.A.C 16.5 Sportser Bull Barrel. It doesn't seem to fit tho.. :/

Thanks for the replies, will try to freeze the barrel. Cheers
Be warned. If you freeze the barrel. Heat the reciever a little. Will give you a little bit more clearance.

You might only got 1 shot at making sure it's aligned though, once cooled it might be super tight that you might nit be able to twist it. . We uses to do this with cam gears. We freeze the cam shift, and heat the cam.
