Tula SVT's 1939-1944

Do they all get plenty to eat... and lots of fresh air and exercise? Or do a few have to stay home and play board games?

Jacques (weimajack) had up so many nice SVT's for sale in the EE this week that I decided to dig out my Tula's and check them all over with my son. The top one is the 1939 SVT-38 and the rest are SVT-40's from 1940 - 1944, all manufactured at Tula





I hadn't noticed the difference in the butt plates between the 38 and the 40's before either. The 38 is non refurbed while all the 40's are refurbed, so a non refurbed svt-40 might have the same butt plate as the 38, not sure:
