Yep - Gibbs 505. Realized what kind of tumbler you nwere talking about. In fact yours looks to be the single drum version of the one that I use. Obviously don't use slurry in it but, as I noted, with corn cob media it does a great job on brass. I'm goin to get myself some of the stainless media that Zuke noted. Sounds like just the ticket and I know it won't damage these heavy duty rock tumblers. You all do understand that I have picked up a gemstone tumbler? This uses a liguid system to tumble, grind and then polish rocks.

What I was asking was has anyone used a similiar type of tumbler for cleaning brass?
I hace a other tumbler and use that one quite a bit already with corn cob media.
Wow that Thumbler's Tumbler seems sweet! I just don't have the 200 bucks to spend atm on a tumbler![]()

The brass tumblers actually evolved from the rock tumblers. The difference is that tumblers dedicated for brass are of MUCH lighter construction, and hence much cheaper..
I know I got it from a guy in the Sarnia area that had the word "treasure" in the title.
Someone here on the forum gave me his contact info.
Found'em!
