Tumbler Cleaner

and COSTLY - My Lyman 1200 Tumbler has served me WELL for about 35 years - ! Now - Nu Finish or Flitz ? lol RJ

Nu Finish. I have the Thumbler equivalent of the Lyman 1200, bowl half full of walnut media i added a measured tablespoon. Once it's mixed in you can't really tell it's there and should not appear wet. After repeated usage you can freshen it up by adding another teaspoon or less.

I had Nufinish on hand so I tried it first. Flitz works well according to my buddy but he went back to Nufinish when he couldn't find flitz. I didn't see his brass was any different than mine using the different products. Don't over think it, either one will do fine.

So I picked up NU Finsh car wax at C tire the other day to give it a try — 1 cap full in the media and a 1/2 hr later thru in the brass and went back in 2 hours and the brass is clean and much briter then without the wax .

So my next batch I put in 2 cap fulls of wax - left it for 1/2 hr and cleaning Much dirtier brass - left the brass it in for 3 hours and it came out Beautifull !

Thanks for the Tips Guys !

Cheers Jim
