Tumbler?

I had a Lyman, it crapped out the second time I used it. It would run for about a minute then stop. Lyman told me I would have to ship the whole unit back to the states for warranty. I ended up making my own.

How do you like the stainless pin media? How difficult/easy is it to use?

Which model of Thumler Tumbler did you get?

Where did you get the stainless pin media?

I checked out Canadiantreasureseekers.com and their prices seem to be way cheaper than getting the stuff from the US.

I absolutely love it..no more dusty stinky brass, and have the floor vibrate all day..

put your media in the tumbler, add water, 2 tablespoons Dawn, dash of Lemishine..and let her roll,..rinse the soap out and then dry the cases.

I did another batch of 223 and 7 rem mag last night..maybe 2hrs..

I got my tumbler and media from...

The Thumler Tumbler is available in Canada but I can't find the stainless media here. There is a jewelry polishing media but it is way more expensive.

I think I am going to have to bite the bullet and get one of these setups. Just not happy with the performance of my vibratory tumbler.

I got my media from a guy who sell's it as a hobby.
If youd like his email send me a P.M. and I'll send it to you.
He doesn't want it broadcast over the net.
It is pricy but well worth it as seen above.

Nope..but after you open to inspect..some media will get between the rubber gasket and the liner..if you don't remove them..it will leak a bit..
I put mine on the deck..keeps the motor a little cooler..also keeps the place quieter..basement would be fine as well..not that its anywhere as noisy as a vibratory.

I was going to make one..but by the time I got a motor and all the parts..it was close to $200 anyway..so may aswell have someting that looks good,,lol

I currently tumble around 1200 peices of brass with my Dillon CV1200 tumbler, so 100-200 peices at a time is far too few.

That said, I love the idea of the stainless tumbling media, but the tumbler he sells is not nearly big enough for my needs. Are there any rotary tumblers out there with 3-4 times the capacity of his?

Go to princess auto and get a small cement mixer.
