What are the good brands/work the best? need something with a bit of size because I will be doing 50BMG.

What media are you guys using?, I have some pulled bullets I need to clean as well.

if i were you, id skip the vibratory style of tumbler and get right in to the stainless steel wet tumbling, brass will be shiny new inside and out...

the kit made by thumblers tumblers seems to be the standard go to norm, but im sure there is tones of options out there

I just finished tumbling 7500 rounds of various calibers of brass using a rock tumbler and walnut shells for media. I was impressed to say the least. I averaged about 350 rounds of 9mm each time. Tumbled for 1-3 hours depending on my nap time.

As an experiment, I took the dirty media, (I was about 1/2 way through the brass) put an old T-shirt in a basket, dumped the media in and washed it. It doesn't float so you can mix it by hand. I figure it took all of about 10 minutes of 'hand washing'. I then scraped it into my wife's (shhhhhhh) cookie sheet, spread it out, and put it in the oven for an hour at 250. It didn't stink up the house like some other things I have tried, and was well dried when I pulled it out. The washed media was only slightly darker than the new stuff. Again, this was only an experiment to see how many times I could use it over and over. Sure it is cheap to buy, but then, I don't want to buy it often so I pass this info on. I'm cheaper.

I'd echo this ...stainless steel pins do a great job with no dust or replaceables

been looking at that and sonic cleaning for the brass but I dont think I should go that route for cleaning the pulled bullets

Home built using walnut media.
I'll let the picture speak for itself.
One new, one reload.

What's your volume? The large Dillon is the largest commercial unit you'll likely source, otherwise you're into building your own.

Brass - if really dirty (such as mil surp), SS media is the best. From normal shooting, you can use corn cob media with an additive like the Dillon Brass Polish.

Bullets - I prefer a wet ceramic media from Sagebrush, but SS media works great as well - especially if you are stripping off moly.

Hi all

Where can you buy a rotating tumbler and the Stainless steel media to go with ? in Canda.

Are you satisfied with the results ( rotating)

Have a nice Zombie Day

sold out right now. Chepaest place in Canada I am aware of and shipping was fast! I will never go back to walnut/cob media again. Been long debated on here, but I suggest trying each for yourself first and decide.

I got a Frankfert Aresenal tumbler from Amazon and it works great! I have left it running for days on end without issue. I am using lizard bedding (crushed walnut) from the pet store for media, about $15 for a large bag. It seems to have enough room for 50BMG. It was under $50 I believe for the tumbler.

Thanks for the tip. I just bought this one too. I had been looking for a tumbler and my local store had one for $78. For $54 I am very happy, plus free shipping!

I have the Dillon CV-2001 which is three times the size of most every $50 tumbler out there...you would be hard pressed to fit 50x .50 BMG cases in it. If you are looking at tumbling in water and SS pins, you should be looking at building something (maybe look at a small cement mixer?).

Which tumbler was it? Sound is an issue for me as I rent?

You'll see stainless steel tumbling is what's more popular on CGN.

I
Love it and it's worth every penny. It'll change your life

I couldn't be bothered with waiting until Canadian Treasure Seekers got them in stock again probably late fall
I found some parts around the house and will attempt to build one from scratch, they don't seem to hard to build
Found most parts out of a broken paper shredder haha

I think Wet SS media tumbling sounds the most promising from everything I have seen
