Tumbling media sources - West Coast

Anyone know of a source for bulk crushed walnut tumbling media? Corn cob would be OK as well but like the higher polish the walnut gives. This stuff is dirt cheap until it gets to be packaged by suppliers and into the retail chain. There must be a bulk source somewhere.

If you have a TSC store out there check them out, its way cheaper........

Also you can check pet stores, its an alternative to kitty litter but the dust is plentiful

If you have a Lordco local to you, they should have crushed walnut hulls - sandblasting media.

I bought a 20KG bag there about 5yrs ago, and it was a pretty good price, if I remember correctly.

Lizard bedding from the pet store. VERY cheap. If you like treated media, you can add a dash of nu finish car pokish

Princess Auto sells walnut for about $30 per 50 pounds.

If you have a Princess Auto out your way...
You'll find crushed walnut in the area they keep the sand blasting supplies

Lordco did not carry it earlier this week.
KMS Tools sells it in 50 pound bags.
I have some that is course and it is okay for straight walled cases.
In the 25-06 it has to be shook out of every case. 22-250 and 243 will have to wait.

That's where I got mine, although in this case the location was just off United Blvd. near the Port Mann bridge. I think it was about $20 for a 25 lb. bag.
