I'm more of a CCH and blued gun guy myself. But I've seen a couple of SS guns that look just right and fitted with grips that really artistically match the shiny look. One such gun had fake ivory grips. The ivory micarta I believe. It was a perfect match. Then I saw someone with an SS or nickel plated SAA with ebony grips. All blac other than a couple of character lines of medium brown. Again it was a perfect match that raised the bar.
So yeah, I can see Brian falling for a shiny face....
Brian, if you get the gun you might just find that nothing is required. My own two Pietta guns that I shoot regularly have doctored themselves over the years to where the trigger is nigh on perfect. If I were ONLY shooting slow paced target work I would like the trigger to be a touch more sensitive and perhaps be tuned for a slight hair less creep. But for guns I shoot in rapid fire competition for the most part they are just wonderful.
If things are set up inside to some basic good level for the trigger hooks then tuning can be done in an hour or so with some stones and jigs or it can be done in a few thousand rounds of ammo and trigger pulls. It may well be that the gun is there or nearly there.
If brand new and you get it then send it off to a good cowboy action smith and tell him honestly what you'll use it for.
Hint, if you will be cocking the hammer and shooting all one handed don't get the trigger pull set to be TOO light. It's too easy to touch the hammer while cocking and set it off before you're ready. I had a cap and ball Uberti Remington like that and it was way too much. Delightful for pure target shooting but WAY too sensitive for any rapid shooting. Had to tune it DOWN a little instead of the other usual way. Something up around 3.5 to 4 lbs with very little creep is nigh on perfect for a combination of target and action shooting.
