Does anyone know of any good relations able gunsmiths in the Vancouver area or BC that work on STI? Trigger job, cutting and molding the grip to your hand etc? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried any adjustments yourself yet? I found I had to play around with the set screw a few times to get it the way I liked it.
I realize it's a personal feel kind of thing. I sanded the grips a bit to take the edge off the knurl in the grip with mine as well. I found it didn't bother my hand as much aftera couple hundred rounds.
I also wouldn't take it in until you have at least a couple of thousand shots through it. The Edge has a long break it time.
There's lots of videos supporting tear down and reassembly and STI has great customer service if you don't mind calling Texas.
Good luck
Gerry.

Dlask is very good - replacing a barrel requires.....a new barrel, therefore does not indicate ANYTHING about the speed that work takes place, especially if that barrel is coming from Europe (or am I totally out to lunch on that?). Since Dlask makes 1911's and 1911 parts, there shouldn't be an issue - the magnesium trigger they make is one of the best available anywhere. Also very good for 1911 work is Bits of Pieces, give either one a call. Dlask used to sell a model with a complete "carry bevel" job done to it so taking the sharp edges of is something they're familiar with. Both have web sites with examples of what they do - take a look.

enef, yes a new barrel, which CZ has in stock ready to inscribe a serial number and ship the moment DLASK asks them to (as confirmed by the president of CZUB). That explains about one month of the process from start to finish. Where are the other 3+ months?
