Had a strange experience turkey hunting today. I shot a turkey that I ended up missing but as I pumped the wingmaster it ejected the round 3 feet in front of me and I racked the forearm forward, come to find out, the magazine never released the next round. Had another bird presented itself I would of had an empty chamber. My first thought was that the live round had fallen on the ground but no, the magazine was still as full as I had left it. The gun is always reliable, it's 1960s wingmaster never let me down. This was very strange experience. My thinking is that I missed the back stroke of the forearm 0.2mm and it didn't release a shell from the magazine, I have no other explanation.... Note I'm very familiar with 870 platform, not newbie here.
