I have just recently earned my license and have purchased a fall turkey tag. Problem is I've never hunted in my life and could sure use the guidance of someone who is experienced. If you're going out one weekend to hunt next month and wouldn't mind helping and coaching a novice, I'd be grateful.

Have you got a property with turkeys on it yo hunt.. I am sure someone would go with you to show you the ropes.. if you are looking for someone to take you to there honey hole or farm Thu have worked hard on for years to get permission that. That may be tough.

Turkey is (IMO) the toughest thing to hunt in Ontario and its even tougher if you dont have any private land to hunt on. If this is your first hunt I would honestly suggest paying a couple hundred bucks and get a guide for a day to take you out and get your first bird and at the same time learn something. I am pretty new at hunting (3 years now) I've been fortunate enough to have a family friend thats been doing it his entire life to take me under his wing, I wish I would have started as a kid but I am making up for lost time now...The one big piece of advice I can give in my novice experiences is get out there, the more time you have outside the better your chances of harvesting. Hunting is difficult and you get out of it what you put in, and then even sometimes you get shafted haha :)

Fall turkey hunting is very different than the spring hunt but it is still a lot of fun. Few people pursue wild turkeys in the fall. Send me a pm and I will do my best to help you out.

You would have to be more than "grateful..." as in pull your weight and pay your share... there is work and cost involved, and opportunities are getting more and more difficult to come by in that region... you are asking for alot...
