Yeah, sucked... took a dead spruce branch to the eye building a blind for turkeys... it bled like crazy, all I could see was a red haze. That is the end of turkeys for the year... jumping right into a jam packed bear season.

What terrible luck. There will be plenty other turkey seasons but you only get two eyes. I hope your eye gets back to normal quickly. Stay well my friend

The opener was a bust for me. Pretty much had heavy rain for 8 hours straight. But I did get a decent bird yesterday.

Hi all.
Another big unlucky bird got a facelift this morning...

All in all, a tough season, less birds... Highly vocal up the roost but silent as they hit the ground...Saw more coyotes as well...

But hey, life is good.

Bring a couple.tent pegs with you, use them to prop the fan fully open... makes it easier to get a timed photo.

First time i've ever had turkeys move in while i was winding down and chatting in the blind. Goes to show you when you think you are done, just hang out a little bit longer!

As far as the setup it was the Mossberg 500 yet again with 24inch ported barrel, Primos Titewad choke, and 3inch Winchester Double XX number 5s at about 35yds. Dropped him like a rock.
