Still lots of Time

I had a chance but didn't make the shot. Dam safety^Y@$&^$. I guess I should make sure that I push it all the way off. Well still lots of time and I have a new Turkey gun coming. Rem 11-87 Shur Shot turkey can't wait.

Hey Baron, nice turkey & with a flinchlock no less! I've always wanted to get one of those, just never seem to be in the right place at the right time.

Went out again on sunday for a bow hunt with my brother.
NO gobbling what so ever.
My brother saw one which tried to peck the hellout of the decoy.
Ended up 10 feet infront of him but he wasn't sure if it was a hen or jake.

Other then that we did manage to get a few ticks. I guess that season is starting too!
 
First turkey ever today!!! Not the biggest bird in the bush but it'll do

Here's the jake I got today. I should have had a monster Tom but dumb me forgot to chamber a round, click gobbler runs. The jake stays, I chamber a round and blast him at 35 yards with mossy 935. He's got a huge head for a jake.

He took 11 pellets to the head/neck, nothing in the body.

Woo Hoo. I was starting to think it was tag soup again this year! 16 lb Jake last knight at around 6:00. I didn't get a pic as the wife is away but I will post one of the spread when she is back. I thought I was going to get burned this year.
