I'll say the cutt is a deadly call to mix in .
In the morning , I'll go through a few trying to imitate a hen that's just coming down from the roost ...soft clucks....soft tree yelp...fly down cackle ( with a wing beat using a wing tip I saved from a kill , gotta be carefull with this...lots of movement here )....purrs and soft clucks ...yelps then , I'll let loose with a cutt .
There has been times when a hen will answer . Thats when I'll mimic her and try to get her mad and sit really tight . She'll come in and likely get pretty close but she'll be calling out as well which makes the best Tom caller out there .
This gets pretty exciting , especially when a hen starts yelping 5 feet behind me .
Afternoon hunting , I'll use an occasional yelp and the cutt and purrs with soft clucks .
Watch out with the clucks...too loud and it will sound more like the alarm putt which is a single loud cluck .
