Turkish shotguns, which are good, and which are not?

I have a few Turkish guns, a couple of which are shotguns. I really like my Churchill SxS and it has become my go to upland and pigeon gun. I also use it regularly when I shoot skeet. Here is a review I did a while back...

I also purchased a left handed Armsan A612 and it has been a wonderful gun. It took a box of light loads to break it in, and the gun has proven to be really reliable with both light and heavy loads. Here is a review I did when I purchased it

Thanks!

Excellent and helpful reviews!

I have a Canuck Defender and a Uzkon ZK11 semiauto. both a nice shooting and the Uzkon ZK11 Has been a good birded gun. One think I did do was to install a limbsaver on the gun, all it had originally was a hard pad and you felt it.

I had a Hatsan semi field gun for birds. Shouldn't have sold it, it ate everything I fed it. Only problem it ever had was the pin for the extractor walked out. New spring pin of the right diameter fixed it right up. Its still going strong with the buddy I sold it to. I also have a CZ912 which is a Huglu gun. It fits me great and shoot it well but its had mechanical issues. Broken hammer first, followed by a collapsed action spring. Getting parts was a pita but I managed to do it. It also won't cycle light target loads, its 1 1/8 at 1200plus or nothing. The replacement parts are much better quality than the original. CZ USA is having the replacement pieces made it the U.S. Both my wife and I use Japanese SKB's as our high volume target guns, no comparison in quality to the Turkish guns as far as I'm concerned.

Derya semi here, not inertia type, regular gas operation, Dlask blowout sale at $300, actually pretty nice, walnut stocks, high polish bluing, chrome bore, only dinky part is the MIM charging handle but it hasn't disintegrated yet.
Other is an Armsan turkey pump action full camo dip with pistol grip, also a nice shooting gun, very well made design, solid milled aluminum action bars, really smooth gun, $400 from Tradex.

dand883...The challenger shells would only work for the first shot in my Pardus SL 20 ga. as well. I did notice that they were oily feeling and in hindsight there is no doubt this was the cause of the problem.
I have been using Federal shells ever since with no problems at all. I would recommend to anyone buying Challenger shotgun ammo to wipe every shell dry of any oil or wax residue before using them.

I still have a bunch left over, they're in the junky, target/bottle/can/etc shooting bin that gets pulled out any time i don't want to waste my good ammo on something, or if i have my o/u out for a few rounds i'll use them up.

My Derya made Canuck pump gun is the same ... Solid milled action bars. Strong and super easy to disassemble and clean. Given that it's reliable and smooth, my Mossberg dust collects.

Mossberg, take note of an intelligent design:

The Mossberg SA-20 is designed exactly that way as its made by Armsan. I much prefer the design of the 930/935 though
